i just saw the new pictures of the saga blog, and in the picture of their office has a vest on a table... cant wait for the hoodies and hopefully vests.

In what sense? I think that all jackets should have detachable sleeves? Is that so ridiculous? What makes you so big? You obviously don't have brains because you can't even read a simple post.

haha, didnt mean that. i meant i would rather a legit tech quality jacket without zip off sleeves. meaning why would you sacrifice the quality of a burly waterproof jacket just to offer it as a vest also? especiallyt when you can buy a vest for $100 bucks.

vests are cheap and it just seems like a sacrifice but thats just me.

It wouldn't. Seriously, why don't all companies do zip off sleeves? When I was in like 8th grade, I had this dope Volkl jacket with zip off sleeves. Then I got a "freestyle" jacket (sessions, and then orage) and I was like wtf, no zip off sleeves. Best thing in the world.

whats the obsession with vests right now? did someone spot t wallish in a vest? i bet that vest on the table is just one of the workers and u guys are flippin out like its a SAGA vest and how now you only want jackets with zip off arms.

of course a zip off arm is gonna compromise the technical merit of a piece of outerwear. you have a zipper on your shoulder. u dont see rain coats with removable sleeves do you? you morons will lose your sleeves too anyways.

TO everone saying that vip off sleeves make them less water proof fuck off, sure it might make them slightly less water proof but for the ability to be able to turn in to a baller vest too i would gladly lose slight water proofing.

omg gaiz that vest is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo legit you can't really see much detail i mean it could be anything really but its in the saga office so it must be saga so therefore it must be THE COOLEST THING EVER my god saga is so in right now they could dress me in my own feces and i would still be the coolest looking skier out there!!!!!


Really though, they could place any brand of grey vest on that table and you guys would think its SO LEGIT.

can someone explain to me the appeal of a vest?

I'm being dead serious, i just cannot figure out the purpose of skiing with a jacket that doesn't have sleeves. don't you get wet? and doesnt it look kinda foolish?

some people like certain things that others dont like? is it that big of a deal for these other ppl coming on this to hate, no get a fucking life. that was to you i understand you arent hating, but i think vest look sick, wearing a nice hoodie or crew underneath works fine and you dont really get wet, and most people do wear jackets until spring or on warmer days, thats when i would use a vest all year.

the appeal is in the look and from a functional point of view having no sleeves gives lots of ventilation but having the jacket material on your torso still offers wind stopping abilities so if its warmish out but not hoodie weather a vest is great at keeping optimal temperature
but theyre popular mostly for the look haha

i can agree with the hundreds here. i just like the idea of a vest as a vest, and a jacket as a jacket. combining the two seems a bit gimicky is all.

it would be cool if a company offered some semi technical hoodies to go with a vest for a spring/summer combo.
