AR6, AR7, what??

i was thinking of getting the ar6 next season but the ar7 is apparently coming out next season. i like to ride park at my local hill and all over in the mountains. any suggestions? maybe other skis? thanks

You'll probably be able to get the AR6 for cheaper, but if that's not an issue, throw down for the AR7, it's gonna be lighter and more durable than the AR6 but still have the outstanding performance that the AR6 is known for. The cap-sidewall construction decreases the amount of material used in the ski, lowering the weight, and allows for a smoother transition on the topsheet reducing the amount of chipping and peeling (the biggest problem with the AR6), but still gives you an excellent edge hold and carve around the mountain.

Umm...for park and pipe AR6 is definately good for you BUT if you are looking for better performance on pow or groomers ARV is another choice all around the mountain it s solid and pretty good in deep pow and shred the park just like other park skis

They're probably gonna be the same price as the AR6 at the beginning of the season (pretty sure around $500, maybe $550, I can't quite remember what I paid for mine). I said they'd be more because you'd get the 09/10 AR6s, which would be discounted cause they're older...that price depends on the store (right now, you're probably looking around $425 or so for the 09/10s - but that price could drop as next season approaches...but they could also sell out, it's a risk).

The Ar7 is sooooo sick, I tested it in Mammoth and I am in love, it is lightweight, smooth, poppy and just plain awesome.  I wasn't allowed to test them on Jibs but I say that the Ar7 is worth switching to for sure!

i think the ar7 is going to be bombproof, as well as hold up the incredible performance of the ar6 i would go with that

just about a month BUMP!. anyone know what the flex is like on these is going to be like !? ive heard pretty stiff, wouldnt mind another view.

I just bought a pair of the 2011 ar6's, not ar7. Same graphics but not capped, just standard sidewall all the way through.

Did you notice the the ski to be stiffer than previous years? I wanted it to be a little stiffer like they said the ar7 would be but it's still the same stiffness as the 2010 ar6.

Does anyone know if there is a difference in stiffness between the one i bought and the one everyone is talking about that is capped?
