Why do some people hate line?

If line has such problems with their skis, then why does everyone copy them? Who came up with the first twin pow ski? line, not salomon. And who first said that, 'those tails are way too high, its just not neccesarry'? Rossignol copied line with the scratch by having equal tip and tail height. If you have something bad to say about line, youre really dising every other ski company.

i like line, but thier skis are too soft..thats why im ditching my 1260's next season. I think most people don't like em becase they started out with skiboards and because thier a newer company

I like what they are doing for the sport, I just don't think that their skis are as good as they could be

People are scared they are going to be skiing on skiboards, which they will not. Also they have had a problem with durability, but what people dont realize is they are much better now and have the best warranty in the whole industry. They will replace them with new skis! Lines are awesome, people should do some research before ripping on lines!

ya, i dont know why people rag on them either. theyre a baby in the ski industry, but are the ones coming up with new things. and didnt they start making skis with a machine they bought at a garage sale?

i have no idea why i am in love with them. every pair of skis i've had by them have sucked (fallen apart, and i'm careful, very) and yet i buy all their clothes, bags, skis, everything.

I like them. I know they have a bad reputation but I bought them over the 1080 anyway just coz I've skied both and enjoyed the Skogen more for some reason. I like the soft tail except on ice and NZ doesn't really get enough pow for that to be a problem. Basically I just need them to last one season and i'll be stoked, coz then I'll get some X-Screams or Bandits or something

Their skis generally suck and the owner of the company told me to fuck off and to never buy line skis again, so that pretty much covers it

probably told you to fuck off because you were a dick.
Line stuff is the best. Rode darksides all winter and they held up better then my friends dynstars and salomons. Super sweet skis and gear.

they need to print their tee-shirts in more than one color. but their skis are tight, and they have a great warrenty.

Uh, thats pretty easy, their skis are as soft as hell. So if you really try and ski much outside of the park and you ski fast, weigh alot, or ski on ice they pretty much suck. And BTW, The mothership and the Pocket Rocket came out at the same time so how could the mother ship have been first? Yes line is setting some trends but they are not copying their designs it's simply improving what the other companies have.

Anyone one who says lines are too soft or they can't go out of the park probably sucks as and/or lives in a gay place for skiing, for example, the mid west (no offense). I live in jackson hole, which is home to the sickest lift-serve skiing in the world and my skogens hold up under any shit. Crud, deep pow, high speeds, cliffs, steeps, and backcountry kickers. The skogens are the shit, they are the most versitile ski I have ever owned. Word.

Line def. does not suck!! anyone who thinks that sucks, im not saying any other companies are bad, but just because they made skiboars doesnt mean they suck. Skiboards were an interesting change, and i do admit, it didnt do much for the sport, and what they hell do u mean by too soft, i skiied the skogens in powder and it was nothing! Line did not tell you to fuck off, VC and if they did, im sure you deserved it. I bought a pair of skis from them, and i decided the length wasnt right, and they took them back for an exchange of new skis! after mine had been used for 2 months. THAT IS WARRANTY!

yeah, but if I wreck mine I have to send them to Canada, fucking useless shops in New Zealand told me to fuck off if I brought them back broken. 'oooh, it's coz you were jumping on them', 'yeah, no shit, they're made to jump on' 'no they're not, they're skis', 'you're a fucking idiot mr ski shop man'

Just give line some time. they are a fairly new company and just like with anything new it takes time to work out bugs and to perfect the product. they have come along way in the last two years. i dont personally care to ride them, but I think Line has an excellent future. Just be lucky that a ski company 'LINE' is doing things for the riders instead of the almight dollar.

yea, so what if rossi 'copied' their equal tail and tip height, it's a good idea, and that's all they 'copied', they had an all new construction and everything...and the mothership and pocket rocket came out the same time, like someone else said
and everyone that i know that has them breaks them quite easily
