Hey guys I know Im new to newschoolers, but I love skiing and this is my 2009-2010 edit. I am not as good as alot of you but I am learnin everyday, and I would love some constructive critism. I Mark Kuczmarski am the skiier, and my best friend Mike Sustar is the Snowboarder. I hope you guys enjoy.
filming wasn't too bad, skiing and boarding was better than i expected. i would work on switch tricks more, and get some grabs, and start learning spins on and off rails
hey i think i rode up the lift with u a couple times at bm for the big air practice that one day.
anyways, as far as contructive criticism, you need to pop on your rodeos. it looks like you just huck it the second you reach the end of the kicker. if you pause at 4:13, your head is very close to hitting the kicker. other than that, nice vid
hey thx for the constructive critism guys, Its really helpful and Im glad you like the edit. Stanny im trying to remember you at the big air, what is your name?
my name is kyle. i was the kid with the black jacket, black goggles and grey and black snowpants. i think my cousin and i rode up with you and your friend a couple of times
I'm digging the hilltop hoods, and its my view that an edit can definitely be interesting to watch regardless of the quality of the skiing if you do it right
that said, you could have done more to align the clips with the soundtrack. have the skier land on beat, or transition between clips in rhythm, or both or more; its about the feel you have for both your content and your soundtrack, and making them compliment eachother. obviously production values don't hurt, but if you can hold a steady camera and pan smoothly, you've got a lot of options.
hmm thats interesting. I never really put too much time into synching the song with the vid. I did a little bit at the beginning but not too much for the rest of the vid. I will def prob do that for next time. Thanks that helps alot. I am glad you like it.
no it was a digital camera. I dont exactly know what is wrong with it, but sometimes it does that, and other times its perfectly fine. Its really weird
ohio repping! edit was sick looks like you have no fears! next year when you get the chance head on down to mad river (skimadriver.com) and shred with me and my friends! keep up the good work!!
Not bad for your first edit and btw the last trick is an underflip not a rodeo but still sick. As far as your filming and skiing goes, just have fun with it and the progression will come.
Hey, I don't mean to thread jack..but I watched your edit and it reminded me a lot of myself and the edit I made this year! Great work on your edit too! Loved the fearlessness!
Glad to see not every new skiier is cocky and aggressive. Humility is key even when you're a pro -- loved the vid, and you deserve credit for being a newer skiier. Solid vid! +K for not being a douche, too. Good approach to skiing.
yeah the terrain park at brandywine was super sick this year. It took awhile for everything to get set up but once it did it was super dope.
Yeah No chip the ripper I was actually seriously considering putting some kid cudi and chip the ripper but I decided to be reppin the hilltop hoods instead
nice job that was pretty good for being new... i like the line invaders lol... ur jumps were sick... u just need to kno how to slide a rail and set ur edge to do swaps and tircks off nice job!
