Yes, a firecracker made out of multiple gas cans, black powder, propane tanks, and a timing device.

I set those off all the time. I especially like setting them off out of my hand. Gives me thrill and makes me feel like a badass.

apparently they found propane (people in new york still grill), some sort of powder (cocaine, whats out of the ordinary), gasoline (pretty much what most of the puddles in new york are), and a timing device (lots of people wear watches.)

funny because I feel the same way. And it seems like a prank because terrorist would think of a crazier bomb than that. Ive blown up a propane tank and gas tank with gunpowder and it was fucking awsome but its more or less a big noise and fire maker.

Note: I am not crazy Im just american and like to see shit go boom.

Wait I just read the article I guess it was a failed attempt and It was in a car (seems like a middle eastern thing to do except they are usually driving the car). I thought they just found some random stuff. Guess it was suppose to detonate but didn't wtf thats fucked.

Are they that dumb, that they couldn't even make a timing device to set off such easily flammable materials. Not they I advocate whatever they're dong and I'm thankful they're dumbasses, but I could have made something to set it off.

are you that fucking retarded? it was multiple tanks wired, along with fireworks (dumb ass terrorists), and a timing device that was supposed to blow it all up but failed miserably. i mean im only speculating but that seems like a bomb to me... especially when the car had fake plates, no driver and started to ignite at prime time in times square. this could have been really fucking bad. also, i wan't to hear about whats in the gun locker found in the car.

i just talked to my dad, and they left time square right before they started to evacuate it, he said it was unbelievably packed, and that he definitely could have been killed. Scary shit to think about.

it was said in this thread (i doubted it).

Just saying that it could not of been a coincidence that all of those things were in the vehicle..my bad haha.

but there were 3 propane tanks, consumer grade fireworks, 2 five gallon gasoline containers filled, 2 clocks with batterys. I know alot about this too because it is on my home news channels homepage.. and the pathfinder was registered to Connecticut.

A decent amount of terrorist plots on the news are just hype. Scared people are easier to manipulate. It's not like there's any connection between the over hypage of terrorist stories on the news constantly and like 25 tv shows about stopping evil terrorist plots or anything like that.

Omg omg, the terror alert is purple today, that means there is def going to be a massive terror attack today. Zomg, hide in your basements.

if you noticed, they barely mention that system on the news. also a van almost blowing up in times square is pretty fucked up and a way different case than "today is orange". news reports about foiling plots helps show that the government is in control of any threats that pose to the public. its not a way to scare people, its a way to reassure that they are protected and to prevent chaos. i bet there is a lot of shit that goes down that you never hear about and really if you haven't noticed that the news has always been about death and disaster, you're very sheltered.

I've been to Times Square and that's the one thing I hate about NYC. So many fucking people, a easy target for terrorists. Plus the hordes of people make me claustrophobic.
