Foam pit?

ok so i made a skateboard with old snowboard bindings on it and its really fun to do jumps and stuff like that but when i ride it on the streets i fall a lot because my feet are set in one position and i can not change them after i 180,360 etc. so i would like to build a foam pit to practice doing big jumps 720, mistys, rodeos all that good stuff. it would be like a mini mega ramp, i can make a good jump with ply wood down a hill and make a kicker but the problem is making a foam pit to land in. i do not have much money to spend so i was wondering if anyone on ns has ever made a foam pit or has any ideas my one friend tried to make one before for Roller blading but it did not work he got a shit load of cardboard boxes taped them together and filled it with Styrofoam beads. it broke the first time he hit it. so if any one has any ideas please share.+k

you have no idea how much foam costs do you? also the plywood to make a run in and ramp it would be very costly

for the run in i already have a four foot drop in for my summer set up i would just need to move the rail section and add a couple more pieces of plywood for more speed(i have six extra pieces of plywood). for the foam pit part i am not going to use foam like they do in real foam pits that would be $$$$ thats why i am looking for other ideas.

the only other option i would suggest is into a pool or water of some sort lol at WWW haha im probably one of the only nsers who knows what it is

just give up now. The only thing you could even possibly use is water, and it wont ever happen.

foam squares are about $1 per square. you are going to need hundreds, possibly thousands. thats a lot of money im guessing you dont have.

just get a few big sheets of plywood and put about 4 matreeses in it then just a lot of pillows and beanbag chairs and stuff look on craigslist people give wood away for cheap or sometimes free

here are the steps
1)make a big ramp
2)dig a huge pit in your yard (your mom will love it)
3) go into peoples open garages and steal their leaf blowers
4) point the leaf blowers straight up in the pit and turn them on

you'll never actually hit the ground

Im probs going to build a foam pit with my friends before next summer, what were going to do is collect used foam (couches and other furniture) from thrown out couches (listed on craigslist free section all the time) and upholstery shops (they have used foam they just throw out. then dig a hole (I love on a farm, and my friend also has a farm so its not a big deal) and put a tarp in it then fill it with the foam. we plan to use this for a trampoline, but i don't see why we couldn't use it for a jump as well.
