Drop wisdom, abandon cleverness,
And the people will be benefited a
hundredfold.
Drop humanity and abandon justice,
And the people will return to their natural
affections.
Drop shrewdness, abandon sharpness,
And robbers and thieves will cease to be.
These are the criss cross of the Tao,
And are not sufficient in themselves.
Therefore, they should be subordinated
To a higher principle:
See the simple and embrace the primal,Diminish the self and curb the desires!
-Lao Tsu, Tao Te Ching chapter 19
Let go of what has passed.
Let go of what may come.
Let go of what is happening now.
Don't try to figure anything out.
Don't try to make anything happen.
Relax, right now, and rest.
-Six words of wisdom from Tilopa, ancient Buddhist philosopher

(wrote a fucking ten page essay on simplicity that I forgot to save and my computer lost it, otherwise It'd be posted right now. fffffffuuuuuuuu)
