Fucking up in college...

So this semester I dropped out of my calc class halfway through because I was failing and I just got an email from my chem professor that I am at or below the D cut off... I have my final in like 9 days.  If I don't pass chem I am only earning 6 credits this semester.  Who else has completely fucked up a semester, or more of college?  Advice, comments, etc.

I did pretty shitty last semester but still passed all my classes except pre-calc...which I have an A in this semester.

But just study a shit ton and get a B or something on the exam.

Word I'm gonna try... but it's gonna be quite the reach.  If I don't pass I think I probably won't tell me parents, they already got pissed about me dropping my math class.  I mean it's not a big deal... it just sucks that I pretty much wasted a semester of college. 

I do have the option of trying to make up some bullshit ass story that I had "extenuating circumstances" and they might give me permission to withdraw from the course.  I don't know what the fuck I would tell them though.

First semester my brother rocked a 3.9 gpa and second semester he just stopped going to class. He lived in the dorms he ate there he even worked his work study but just chilled in Burlington.

I partied too hard and had a psychotic breakdown and had to drop this semester to go to hospitals and rehab.
I'm better know and going back in the fall, but I only made it through about 3 weeks of last semester. And the one before that I got a 2.13 GPA not even good enough to get into the frat I wanted to get into.

Because you know me?  I spent the last year going to school mon-fri and then working like a minimum of 30 hours fri-sun.  I go to the University of Wisconsin -Madison... not an easy school.  I've been through girlfriend problems (dated a girl 8 hours away).  Do I regret the way I went through this past year of school? Yes, but I wouldn't say I was fucking retarded about it... I was just burning the candle at both ends and it came back to bite me in the ass.  Just was looking for a place to vent.  Forgot I should have posted it in LM because everyone on NSG thinks they know you.

then i figured out what i really want to do with my life
its been a year, and i just wrapped up another really good semester, 3.71 cumulative and this semester's 4.0 hasnt been calculated in yet

There is a reason College is not a cake walk.  If it was almost eveyone would get a college degree.  Think about it, you have some friends or know soe people tyou consider dumbasses, they have no chance of getting a college degree, now image they have the same degree your trying to get.  In a way the school system is kind of like a class system.  Thats why im getting my masters, because I look around at people graduating with me and think I was an employer I wouldnt want to hire someone in the same league is these goons.

I know how you feel.

I dropped my calc class halfway through this semester and wasn't doing too hot in my other classes, all being science. Studied non stop all last week for my finals which were this week and did pretty well on them I think.

It could also be a sign that you aren't in the right major. I'm completely ditching science next year and going for a dual major in film and communications. Not the best job job outlook, but I know I'll be happy doing what I'm doing. I plan on going to graduate school for business, probably marketing, so i'll see where that take's me.

Whats up man, I fuck up a lot of my classes in college to. Like probably failed at least one every semester. I go to community college though so the classes don't cost much and I'm pretty much being forced to go there for free health insurance anyway. I wish I could just work in a factory or something, school is not for me and it never has been. I'm a hard worker but fuck I just don't care about school at all. Im probably going to manage scraping by into a 4 years anyway though, and then god willing fake it for another 2 years and then I can never go back to fucking school again.

Haha been there, done that. I tried to fight through calc 2 even though i did super shitty on the first exam and didn't understand much at all. I also got a D in my international finance class same semester. i'm a senior now, but i still have another semester left after this. you gotta take a summer/may term class, and just get back with it. also, get yourself banned from ns and crush studying so hard

i'm in college and i go wild too. but you need to remember why you're there.   I drank last monday night, but the next day did aabout 6 hours of work.
Remind yourself why you're at college and succeed.   this is my best advice.   you have to WANT to do well.

Haven't gotten my results back from my Stats or German courses but chances are I failed those. Had so much shit going on this year that school was not my first priority. Stupid. But at least I know now for my 2nd year of Uni what I need to do.

I was walking from my gf's dorm to the party this night, and I remember looking towards the entrance and thinking " man i swear i just saw taillights in there... oh well thats rediculous " and then the next day i found out what happened. Kid got a ticket for parking on the sidewalk, careless driving, and something else i think. All in all a pretty dumb move.

Failing a couple college courses isn't the end of the world.  Yeah I blew some money, but I'm honestly not worried about that.  It's all a part of college and learning what you want to do with your life.   I'm guessing you aren't in college?  Oh and Skierman I gave you a karma point back cuz I was thinking the same thing about El.Gato ahha

I was being sarcastic, everyone messed up in school. I failed 6 out of 8 classes as a freshman. I took summer school and got all those credits back, now as a Junior I have an 86 average in AP classes.
