Sounds like the guy who called him out is just a douche bag. I mean, I can see someone not being into it if they don't know him and don't share his beliefs, but to tell him to fuck off is a bit below the belt/out of line IMO.
Oh and btw, I'm pretty confident that this will turn into a religious debate shit storm pretty soon.
Yeah his team mates were harsh, but jesus was whipped and put on a cross. Wether you belive he was the son of god or not its all good up to you, but historical facts says he walked this earth and died that way. So if the kid is upset about what was said, it could be alot worse and he can sack up.
i think its fucking hilarious but is it really a big deal?
people are so fucking uptight about their religion. if they would take their heads out of the asses and step back and think about what they actually believe in maybe then they would realize why so many people think they are crazy.
Actually, it seems to me that there are a lot more people that are uptight about religion that don't believe in it than those that do.
Also (directed at thread not just THATS_STREET), I think it's pretty weak when the media reports on something like this. It says nothing about Tebow reacting poorly. It is just a dumb story that really doesn't affect anyones lives. I that a "story" like this would be more at home in People Magazine or on TMZ instead NBC Sports.
why am i the disrespectful one? if you ask me its pretty disrespectful to ask a room full of dudes to pray before you take a test, take into account other peoples beliefs.
haha yeah im stoked too. im actually a jets fan, but i have family at clemson so im a spiller fan for sure. im glad he went in division so we play his team 2x a year.
i think its funny, and to be honest, (although i follow football only since one or two seasons), they should shut the fuck up about their religious beliefs. i am talkin about all these guys like warner or tebow (or any other nfl-player you hear talking about god in interviews)
i can understand that they are thankful to have these opportunities and shit, but seriously, its not that god helped them to get that far. now they might have that impression, but they are on the easy side. ask some guy who was born in a violent and poor area but still believed firmly in god until he was shot ten times why god didnt think he deserved to play sports for a living at 330k+ per year (and obviously up to 15-20m per year).
