Tramping's affect on skiing

I just got a tramp last weekend. I've been getting pretty decent on it and can do lots of things i can't (well, havent tried yet since the snow is gone) on snow. I know that a lot of the inverted tricks are probably much harder on snow. Anyways, what i'm asking is how much has tramping made you a better skier... In terms of spins w/ grabs and inverts. Thanks for your input.

^ that makes no sense. What does buying expense skis have to do with a training device?? Yes, the tramp will help with your sense of spinning and sense of air. But remember, you don't have skis on your feet when ur on a tramp. But yes, it will help out greatly. Also, if you can do a trick on a tramp does not mean your gonna nail it on skis. It just helps you learn the trick.

It helps you get the basic rotation down and it helps your air sense. It wont allow you to stomp everything first try but it will help you start your tricks.

I think the biggest thing it did for me was improve my 'awareness' in the air. I know where I am better and I am more natural in the air now too. Also, all you really have to do to step it from a tramp to the snow is think logically...ok, how much time do I need in the air to do it on a trampoline, and how much more am I going to need on the jump?
Really though, it helps you get more comfortable.

and remember to eat a lot of carbs because big air uses a lot of energy. and stretch to very key. oh oh and spandex.

I can do a flip on the trampoline but if I ever tried it on skis I think I'd die. Hope that helps ;-)

i think that the trampoline just gives you confidence for the snow. it lets you get the feel for the trick, as what you need to do.

uh, it helps awareness and knowing the basic rotation and how to throw siht. For example with better ar sense you can fuck up a bit on a trick like a 5 or a cork 5 or a backflip or a d spin 9 or whatever, but knowing where you are will help you fix it up in the air and come around and still stick it.

it really helps for any kinds of flips...but it is totally different feelling on snow... Maybe try it with your ski boots on...cus it feels a lot heavier when u r actually skiing.
I wish I was skiing..

it helps a lot, you can learn so much on it and then translate it to the slopes.

yea, what they all said, it helped me to get a better air sense, and i had been wanting to do a misty 5 forever, and i could do em on tramps like nothing, so the first time i did it on snow i did it just like on a tramp, and it worked out really well

there's something called muscle memory. Jumpin on the tramp helps this. I've had a tramp since i was 5 and i jump on it a ton, and every trick i learn really well on the tramp i usually come pretty close to sticking first time on skis. Jumpin on the tramp has helped me mucho. The only place you run into conflict is this: although you can pretend, you can't really jump on the tramp 'switch' so even though i do 'switch tricks' all the time, the motion of taking off a jump backwards is a crazy sensation and a hard one to emulate on the tramp. Besides that, tramping just gets you comfy in the air and you can get tricks down to a point where you don't even have to try. giver

basically it helps you know how to start the trick in the first place. the only problem is that on skis, you're going fast, and on a tramp you're going straight up and down mostly. so it helps, but you're still gonna have to work on it on skis of course

the tramp on the trampoline bounces the carcus up into air so that one may spin his or her 'casum' spiining the flow progression will trace its way to the snow. articulate you style whereever and whenever.
