To anyone that knows Mac's inside and out: I need simple repair help?

So i spilled juice on my keyboard and track pad, luckily i wiped it off quick enough so it did not cause any internal damage.  The keys and the mouse clicker are just super sticky and it is a real pain in the ass to use.  I took it to a computer repair shop and they quoted me like $200 to fix it, but they also told me exactly how they were going to fix it, he said he was just going to take the keypad out and soak it in hot water.

It is a 15 inch MacBook pro, it is two generations old (the generation right before they made the  black border around the screen)

So my question to anyone that can help is.  How do I safely remove the keypad and the mouse clicker thinger so i can just do it myself?  How many pieces is the casing made up of?  &  Can i just take off the plate that holds the keyboard and track pad?

i believe you can just unscrew the sides and lift it off without the keys

ooh, that's a toughie. what youre gonna want to do is hack the firewall, access the database... verify the password...and then set up the proxy on the other side of the firewall with a 6 ghz modem. then you should be set, i think

haha, shit, thanks.  I dont know why i did not just google that shit.

 Is there anything i can fuck up big time by just taking that one top plate off? & Should i be wary of anything?

You could try this if you don't find a better solution:

First off, take out your battery. Find someone at University doing a Science or Engineering degree. Ask them to take your computer to a lab with equipment to produce de-ionized water and flush it through with that. Let it dry and give it a go.

The wine probably short circuited a bunch of components, if these shorts blew out your components then the water flush won't work as they'll still be broken. If the computer's still not working because theres residue from the wine which is causing a short then the water will wash it away and the computer should work. The deionized water from the lab will not leave any residue (which could cause more shorts). I tried this once with a phone as I figured I had nothing to lose and it actually worked. If you know that some components didn't get wine on them then take them out before you put them in the water.

I'd use this method as a last option. I thought my idea was reasonable to I just did it to see what would happen. It worked but it might just have been a fluke.

depends what you did when you spilled wine on it. if you turned it off right away and took out the battery, you have a good chance at being able to get it to work again, because that means nothing would have short circuited. if you turned it on without it fully drying, you probably short circuited something and your computer will probably be useless, but your hard drive might be okay.
