Not shocked. A bit nervous when I see kids that small, but working as a liftie I've seen plenty of little kids like that. For those of you thinking, oh there parents trying to live through them... not the case. In ski towns, its about skiing. or riding, whatever. As soon as the kids can stand or walk they put them on boards. Theres no way that was her first time. When they first start there will be someone behind them to slow them down and help steer them. She must have really caught on fast to be crusin like that on her own. I had a few regular guests that had kids under 2. They would pick them up under their arm and sit them on the chair. It will blow your mind how good these kids get.
In aspen, elementary school through high school, they have a ski team. Freestyle and racing. If you join the team you get out of school early to go ride. Some of the kids are so small you have to help them on the chair. Then you watch them ride and they can carve out perfect turns. I think one main reason they get so good is they have no fear. Plus having pro coaches doesnt hurt either. Im not bullshitting you when I say I've watched 8 year olds throw smooth backflips and 3's. Its fun making friends with them too.
"how was your run dude?"
"I just did my first iron cross"
"NICE!"
Props to that girls parents, imagine how cool it would be to raise your kids and teach them to shred with you. I hope to do the same one day.
that is literally a fuckin baby snowboarding. and the board just makes it even more badass.
and when people say they have been boarding their whole life, i bet its not to the extent of this girl
