Here's the deal so far....
-FIS Freestyle has passed a motion to submit Halfpipe Skiing for Olympic inclusion. (FYI the process has to go through FIS to become an Olympic discipline, same as snowboarding).
-Now this motion needs to be voted on by the FIS Congress (as in ALL of FIS, not just the freestyle ski department) at their meeting in early June. All indications at this point, are that it will pass unanimously.
-Assuming that happens, FIS will then build a business case for Ski Halfpipe and submit it to the IOC Program Commission in September.
-Hopefully there will be an answer from the IOC program commission within a month or so of the proposal's submission, so we will likely know for sure by October or November.
