Now I understand..after watching team canada's edit why simon was so disgusted with the results...No hate on canada's edit..it was good but I mean...their banger ender trick was a trick that russ henshaw did unnatural.

After hearing a lot of people talk shit on team canadas edit, it was real sick. They really only had one urban shot. If the judging was as it is on the website, then other teams should have won but if the judging actually did change then this makes sense i suppose.

This whole situation is just stupid honestly, all the edits were sick and i enjoyed watching each one, isn't that the whole point of joss?

Absolutely loved it

but I can see why people felt hard done by after spending so much time and effort skiing sketchy urban in the dark while these guys clowned around with a pan and got smashed.

Well said.

But as long as we're on the topic, I don't think Canada should have won. I didn't feel that were top notch in skiing, filming, editing, or entertainment value. I thought they were good in all of those fields, but not top notch (except for maybe entertainment due to Chug's antics).

im really lost right now man, i was not trying to show my opinion at all with that post, i showed my opinion in different posts but whatever, i was just trying to say that if Jon wants to have a contest where filming/editing and overall impression are big factors in the judging, then he can do that, so its incorrect to say that any other team should have won. yes, another team might have won if YOU were the one deciding which categories counted most, but this is not the case, so in the end, the right team got the 20 grand

My opinion: Team America and NS were tied for me, I enjoyed them the most, Norway was nice too. I was disappointed with Canada's simply because they hyped it up so much and I personally didn't like it that much. All the teams had tons of fun, you don't have to act gay or pop pimples in HD to show it. Quality of skiing is something I would have ranked as well, but I guess this was more of an editing contest and Clarke definitely did some interesting things with the film.

Maybe if people can now realize that everyone doesn't have the exact same taste and opinion we can stop bitching about an editing contest that doesn't affect a single thing in my life right now.

No it doesn't really for us ..but for the athletes when there's an opportunity to win 20g...I think I'd be a little bummed if I felt like I deserved to win and got beat out by an edit that wasn't as good....but fuck..late spring and summer is coming up let's look forward to dope hood and whistler edits!

canada was by far and away deserving of the win, that video had one of a kind filming, editing, and overall feel. when i see an edit i want to be entertained, not only in the skiing, but in the story, and that video was the most entertaining of the bunch. plus the music choice was fucking dooooope, i will be buying that cd in the near future.

the vibe and music choices were on point. Ian Cosco naked was not. Skiing was the same as everybody else just not as many shots although the necessary ones were there (not even close on the urban).

i dont know about you guys but I don't enjoy seeing dudes running around naked shit gets old after the first half second of seeing him naked. then its just like wtf put some clothes on dude shits borderline gay.

america should have won. AJ did a banger job and by far the most quality edit I have seen to date.

but really who cares? everyone seemed to have a great time and some quality edits were produced, i think that was the point of the contest. as far as the 20 g's goes, 4 grand each is not a ton of money, and i think the way everyone in joss got put up like kings and probably had the two best weeks of their lives, i dont think anyone really has a place to bitch about missing out on a few grand.

1. Canada, for being awesome
2. Newschoolers, for being equally as awesome but slightly less entertaining
3. Norway, because Andreas is god
4. Down Under, because Russ Henshaw is crazy and music was legit

Right lets just all fly out to Sweden, and then just chill drink some beers and maybe ski once or twice... I don't understand what is so bad about taking skiing seriously? It was a fucking SKI FILM COMPETITION, if anything the team who doesn't give a shit should not only not win, but not be invited back. My friend was a pro was much better then that edit, and it was a joke.

That edit was not great whatsoever. I laughed at 3 things in the entire edit, shit i thought Team Americas had even more humor. Not saying Team America deserved to win fyi, I feel team NS had the best edit.

Although I thought that America's was the sickest, Team Canada was something different, it was funny and was edited very very well.

America's had the sickest skiing and i think they should have won, but canada's was very well edited and stood out among the rest, so i'm not surprised that Canada won.
