This edit won? Seriously? The only thing it had going for it was the really nice smooth filming but then they fucked that up with the super jumpy editing. Team America are very justified to be pissed off.

I agree. Although I still like America's skiing and their video the best, I definitely understand why Canada won based on the judging criteria.

Fuck all of you kids and your goddamn dubstep/ techno/ mashup bullshit. IMO by FAR the best edit. Maybe not the most impressive skiing of them all, but the filming was top notch. I was almost crying from laughing so hard. If you think this edit was "disappointing" you need to get your head checked.

that was definitely deserving of the win, for the simple fact that it didnt feel like the same old ski porn.  JOSS videos are pretty much the very definition of ski porn, surreal fantasies intersecting 4-5 money shots. See team americas "im a pro hes not a pro" ironic self deprecation theme that was either funny or cringe inducing. Team canada had an authentic feel good vibe which im sure is a real representation of the event, because unfortunately a lot of the videos came off with a self congratulatory vibe, like look we made it! Which had to be from so many teams building their video around the rookie theme.

In 2 years I will not remember who 450'd onto what or what grab went with what ridiculous doublecork (well after doublecorks stop being the go-to trick for everyone). But I'll remember that edit, just like I remember Seth & JP in UP1.2, because it's about skiing, not about tricks. Really well done, loved it.

Great filming and very funny, but there wasn't that many shots of skiing. and no urban.

People need to stop comparing edits to be honest. America, NS, and Canada all had different styles. I don't think one can simply be "better" than another, but more in line with certain people and their attitudes they take.

Personally, this edits filming as amazing. I loved the quick cuts, the music, and the overall feel. You could honestly TELL that Chug, Dorey, and Teej had the most fun possible while at JOSS this year. Isn't that something that we all want? That ultimate feeling of fun, of satisfaction with your friends, even though you didn't land a cork 9 blunt, you were out there with your buddies, having the most fun you could. This is what that edit possesses that the others most clearly do not.

couldnt agree more. Obviously I have a bit of a biased opinion but there is nothing better than an edit that really reminds you how much fun skiing with your friends is. Congrats boys, and congrats to all the other teams, especially team NS!

Fun edit, can see why it won the overall catagory! I still think in a skiing contest the skiing should be the most important though.

I personally am so happy that won. clarke is just fuckin ridiculous. The filming and editing was so good, and I loved the song selection. That video left me smiling the entire time, and I think that is what actually makes a good edit. Man that was so dope
