What would you do with your skis if you died?

Today I was talking with a buddy and somehow it came up that if I died he could have my Lizzies. I told him that he couldnt have them all because im sure my mom would want at least one pair for memories. I figured since my ski collection is my most prized possession excluding my car I should leave them in good hands.

my question to NS is this, who would you leave your skis to if you unexpectedly passed? Why that person? feel free to include what the ski is as well

i don't think about my death. And it's not like i'm going to be able to enforce who gets my skis anyway when i die....

my brother. he's 18 and i'm 16. he and i started skiing at 3 and 2, respectively, and we've skied together ever since.

although i have plenty more friends that i consistently ski with, ryan would definitely get my skis. we've been there for all of the "special moments" of freeskiing. when i taught him 3s years ago, to when he landed his first 9 a month ago. we've always supported each other (he got me to try my first backflip) and had lots of good times. we've had lots of fun skiing and making edits, so they would go to him. i assume that his would go to me.

I've actually thought about this before. I wouldn't want my parents to sell my skis because they would take them to either our basement or play it again sports and get shafted with a too low value. I'd want my skis to go to someone who really needs skis and is super stoked on riding

I'd like to think that at least one pair would be useless because I would be on them as I went....


But in reality they'd probably be divided up amongst my friends so that someone could still have fun on them

genius. as for the guys who would be buried with them, thats a pretty damn good idea. i would definitely want one pair in there with me if i ended up in a coffin

Ironically this came up pretty recently as well. I ship out to Fort Benning, Georgia for US Army basic in about 3 months here and I have had to write up a will and name a beneficiary to my life insurance policy. I was lucky enough to be born with a twin brother and as much as we argue hes my best friend for sure. I have willed him everything I own. I asked him to keep riding my skis if i am killed. It would be almost as if I am there with him, which is better than nothing.

If I died unexpectedly I would not make any decisions about what happened to my skis, because I would not be capable of making any decisions. That is how death works. It would be fucked up to ride a passed homie's skis though I would think they'd be retired to a wall or destroyed in a raging fire.

Dam you took mine. I always said if I die young, I want to be burried in all my ski stuff, lizzies and chronics at hand in the casket (assuming I would be buried). Or I would have my dad or someone make a bench our of my skis (I have 3 pairs, you could throw in an extra) and put it at my grave.

I would leave one pair for my brother and dad to share, because I know that they would shred on them. I would send any others off to random individuals who had no idea where they came from, as if they were just another pair of skis.

To my brother. Although we don't ski much together anymore, he charges the hardest I've ever seen and still doesn't own twin tips. I'd rather see my skis put to good use and make someone happy instead of it dusting in the basement.

i would want my board and bindings to go to whichever friend needed them the most at the time. same thing with all of my other gear thats still in good condition.

and i would want to be cremated wearing my outerwear. not the new fancy outerwear that i got at the end of this season, but in my old, beat to shit, torn up, 686 jacket and drop mfm pants, my dc boots, and the white and black rome hat. then have my ashes divided up between my friends and family and scattered in awesome snowy places.



i didnt like typing that. it felt kinda creepy. y'know?
