So this upcoming year I would really love to find a new ski home. I've rode at welch since I was a wee little boy and the scene there is falling apart, the park sucks, and i feel like i wasted all of this past season skiing at welch. Since the passes were only 99 i picked one up to occasionally go back down and ride, since 3 times literally pays the pass off, but i am also very much hoping to get a pass somewhere else for the 10-11 season. I live in Hudson so i'm pretty much within driving distance of most twin cities area hills, so i guess i'm considering afton, hyland, wild, or troll mainly, but i just wanna have a good season and ski a ton for my senior year. I've already talked to a few people and stuff but i would appreciate some opinions to sway my mind one way or another. Also any good pass deals that are cheaper over the spring or summer to pick up a pass for less $ would be nice too.

Summit Backyard. We will have more features. Rails will be on pads. We will be selling season passes next year so you can ride everyday instead of just weekends. You could drive to summit and hit way better features about 70 times in the same amount of time it takes to get to trollhaugen.

afton. no one can deny we've stepped up our game in the past two years. even our jumps weren't aaaaas crappy as they've been in the past this season. rail-wise afton is siiick. although it doesn't have a tow-rope, i can honestly say that I've never gotten sick of hiking there. not to mention it would only be a 20 minute or less drive for you. or you can just say goodbye to high school and move up to duluth with me sean!

Wild is shitty compared to hyland, Hyland is where its at, and you could also join up nybora, tuesday and thursday nights we got 90 or so kdis on the team and we have our own private jumps with some tight coaches! even if you dont join nybora come down to hyland everyone is friendly and youll find tons of kids to ski with any day of the week

They each have their strengths. I think Wild can be equally as sick as hyland.

Yes Nybora does cost more than just buying a season pass, but in comparison to say buying some ski lessons or even a baby sitter it is still cheaper. I don't think you'll find many people that say it is not worth it, if you do let me know.
