Help! Films to watch with a girl.... tomorrow night!

yo fellow nsers!

i try not to make too many inane stupid threads like this one but i don't care... cos im looking for help, and so who do i turn to for said help? newschoolers of course!!

right so this girl who im seeing has suggested that she comes round to watch a film/meal round my place tomorrow night... so what the fuck should i buy/rent?

ill tell you a little about her

she's 22, swiss, an awesome skier... but she is a real film buff, likes all sorts of weird directors and stuff

errrrrmmmmmm.... so yeah suggestions?



ps (she won't want to watch porn or any ski films, so don't suggest that!)

Tried to cover alot of different styles and genres.

Pans Labrynth -  Stylish and Spanish Language...So long as she can do english subtitles. Fairly entertaining for both sexes.

Fear and Loathing in las vegas - Mint Film, any good film buff will enjoy.

Expect to be bored, but the ladies love it, Lost in translation, the Garden State, The notebook, the fountain.

"cult" films, Dr Strangelove, Evil Dead 2, Donnie Darko, Little Miss sunshine, Once

Some 80's awesome sauce - Breakfast club, Ferris buellers Day off.

Classics to get the tears going at some point: Shawshank redemption, Schindlers list, Forest Gump, Big Fish.

Any cartoon disney films pree 1995, alladin, little mermaid, beauty and the beast, Lion king!

Totally depends what she's into, but I guess comedy always works and something romantic if you want to set the mood in that direction.. I Love You Man, Little Miss Sunshine, 500 Days of Summer, The Notebook, Hangover, UP..etc:)

Blair Witch Project...with all the lights off, and a blanket.

Horror movies are the best for an excuse to get closer to her, in my opinion anyway.

some recommended once already which is an amzing movie production wise and in general if she enjoys music. another movie which has interesting directing is the hurt locker which is very impressive.

definately watch "the fall" - directed by tarsem (imdb it for more details)

its a great all around movie with a solid story, but a film buff will truly appreciate it
after the movie finishes, have her tell you her own story, it will get her involved and you can see what is going on in her head.
