Having old neighbors sucks

So we had a party at our house last night for my friend's 22nd birthday, not even that many people over yet, just drinking, playing cards and listening to music, and our 60 year old neighbors decide to call the cops at 10:15.  WTF.  I got cited for a misdemeanor noise violation and we had to bring the keg (which we had gotten like a half hour earlier) outside and sit there with the cops as it emptied into our front lawn.  I could understand this if maybe it was a little later and we were actually being loud, but we talked to our other neighbors and they said they didn't even know we were having a party, so basically our neighbors just wanted to fuck us over.  I know I sound like a little bitch right now, but I'm just pissed that I have to go to court and deal with all the fines for having only like 20 people over at 10:15.

maybe u should of just informed ur closest neighbours that ur having a party, btw what u goin to court for if u all were over 21 and why'd they pour the beer away? seems kinda strange to me..

Yeah, I agree.  This was the only time this year we forgot to tell our neighbors we were having people over.  When we asked about the beer, they said that they knew there were underage kids there, and didn't want the temptation of beer to be available so that they would come back or some bullshit like that.  They said it was either that or they were going to MIP all the underage kids, so we poured the beer.

to be honest, yes going to court is a hasstle and gay but if your story is legit, it will hold up fine, and after you win put charges on them for your time and for being discriminatory becasue your young they are predjudice

They said they knew there were underage kids there, so it was either pour the keg or they ID everyone and hand out MIPs to everyone under 21.

how did they know there were underage kids?  the cops cant come in the house w/o a warrent.  next time tell the underagers to hide in the basement and tell the cops to fuck off.

It's marked as a misdemeanor right now, but I can get it knocked down to a civil infraction when I go to court.  As for the underage kids, as soon as they saw the cop cars roll up they bolted out the side door but the cops stopped them.  I just didn't want to get my younger friends in trouble so I agreed with what the cop said and dumped the beer.  I was pretty fucked up already so I just kind of went along with everything haha.  It's a shitty situation but as long as it gets knocked down to a civil infraction the fine won't be that big of a deal.  I just don't need anything new on my record when I'm applying for grad school/med school.
