Jeep question?

I have a 2000 wrangler with 145,000 miles and i know i would go with bigger tires and a system.  Depending on where you live/where you will drive it, a body lift is pretty useless.

a system in a jeep is fucking retarded.

aka get the lift and bigger tires. thats what we have on our jeep wrangler. so much fun mudding and driving through the mountains

personally i just think a system is a waste of money. it makes you look so immature. my two cents. actually, its three cents now hah

I had a 99 jeep grand cherokee with 208,000 miles....i put upgraded speakers and a sub, but i dont call it a system........with systems i feel like you waste too much money, you can never get what you put into it back, and for what purpose? to blast loud music around other people?  I mean if that can be cool at times, but i would personally recommend against a system, and do body work to your jeep, as much as you can.  Jeeps are great vehicles, utilize their potential, and save the system for someone with a honda civic or something

I would try to steer away from getting a system.  I dont know how everything in 2000 jeeps are, but wiring my 06 commander was one of the biggest mistakes of my life.  It was hell getting the power wire through the fire wall, i had to pull the whole dash off to get to remove my stock headunit, and I have to get an antenna adapter to make my radio work.  Also, in my experience, to make most aftermarket electronics work in jeeps with the original wiring, you need expensive adapters and harnesses.  I had to dish out $100 for a special power adapter to get my headunit to power on.  I would do a lift, maybe space the wheels, get beefier tires, tint the front windows (if not already done), and maybe get some aftermarket headlight housings or HIDs, or both.  I put 8000k HID lowbeams in my commander, and got wrangler silent armour tires so i could get a little more off-road traction than the stock fortera's without losing much on-road stability.  This summer im doing a 2" lift, 1.5" wheel spacers, and getting a brush guard for the front end, as well as probably painting my wheels matte black.  I just finished painting my grille matte black today, and i love the contrasting look (my jeep is silver).
