All i see and hear on Ns now days is a bunch of pro hos who cant ski for shit bitching about pros and tall tees and contracts which don't concern them. I like skiing. I go on ns because its about what i love. For fuck sake some people need to grow a set of nuts and worry about their own skiing rather than what some pro did to some other pro, or what pro said what. i dont give a fuck. does anyone agree with me?

and fuck all you faggots that give a shit about karma, take mine down, i personally think its the gayest fucking thing ever anyway

trip reports are what makes tgr so sick. sure, some are lame but many represent free magazine quality stoke and some are fucking amazing accounts of exotic, intruguing places or of awesome lines slayed.

i'm afraid what it comes down to is: REAL SKIING. ON REAL MOUNTAINS. if that's you're thing, tgr is the place. if lapping the park or cruising groomers is your thing then yes, ns and epicski have what you need.

If we are sterotyping then I will say that NS forums suck, they get like 900000 new threads a week, all about some new coat jacob wester was wearing or T wall was in there state.

If you care what young wanna be g's have to say about skiing then Ns forums are great.

Oh and whoever said tgr sucks for tech stuff is ignorant. Those guys know more knowledge than any other site. Although they are narrow minded they know there stuff where as here you have a bunch of kids running around spewing of things they heard and not giving first hand reports. (and yes I believe that Ns still has some people that know what they are talking about)

the attitude on tgr is what keeps it from becoming "wack" like ns. you make a thread asking a question that has already been answered, you'll likely get some sarcasm. waaaa. at least that way there aren't 17 threads a week asking which is better, the hellbent or the ep pro.

want techy information about all things ski (REAL skiing)? gear talk on tgr is unparalleled. if you want info about k2 apache recon, atomic metron or salomon crossmax then yes, as you say, epicski is the place.

NS has always had its ups and downs, and it's always had its idiots and whatnot, but it's still a great place to come for some forum times. There are intelligent posts for those who care to find them, and plenty of great stuff on here. Not to mention that NS has the largest number of inside jokes in a community (IMO), and as such, it leads to some really good laughs. There is some really funny stuff on this website, as well as intelligent, interesting, and debatable things. Just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean it's shitty. Just look on the bright side for once.

I dont know, Its not that bad. Yeah theres a hell of alot of pointless threads about nothing, or the endless 'ski vs ski' threads, that literally have the same comparison asked a page or two before. Honestly though most of us know not to click on them. I lurked on NS for over a year before I got an account and I think for what it is its still great.

I think the community aspect of NS is still intact.
