Replying to Video Problems

So I tried to upload an edit to Youtube and it told me the uploading time would be 13 Hours. That seems like way to long. The file is an AVCHD video and 1.8 gb and whenever I try to upload it It goes for a few hours than says uploading error. Even when i use the smaller HD windows media file which is 515MB it still takes around 6 Hours and always fails to upload because of an error. Im not sure whats going on. I use Adobe Premiere 8 and if you have any suggest that could help me get my video online easier or faster that would be awesome.
