I got a pair of LINE dart 44" poles for free a while back and my last pair of poles finally broke. I'm only 5'5 so the poles are too big for park skiing. Has anyone had experience cutting down the darts? Any other suggestions on what to do because they are slighty used already. Thanks
You just take the straps off first with a wrench and then you should be able to treat it like getting off the handel off of any other pole. Put into some hot water and then have 2 people twice in opposite direction to get it loose. Then use something like a dremel tool. fine hacksaw, pipe cutter and then round all the edges and put the grips back on using hot water again.
just boil some water, put the poles (grip down) in the water. let them sit for a little and they should slide right off. measure how long you want them and just cut em with a hack saw. them re boil the grips and slide them back on. a little hair spray helps them really stick too
Shoul I take off the strap and bolt on top anD just boil the grip till I can pull it off then just take a hacksaw to it? I heard tht the top of the pole is threaded so it can't be cut down. Do u think this should stop it or should I still try?
put grip side of pole in between wall and door. pull pretty hard and BAM it should come off. cut to desired length. put grip back on. I really dont know how to explain it any better
