The Canyons or Park City?

I went to the canyons this whole year. I have been to Park City once and it was a long time ago. Just wondering witch one is more legit? and what you guys think i should get next year? thanks ns

all depends on what you like to ride. 
for park- pc is better (some might argue but  ive rode both a bunch and personally prefer pc)
BUT the canyons park is real fun too, and the terrain is def. much better.
the ski scene at pc is way more intense... lots of kids throwing down, canyons is a lot more mellow.

Ya I defanetly like the scene at canyons. So chill ! But all those edits droped from PC this year got me thinking how dope it is over there!

People think the scene at pc is so intense and serious, but its not. Go to colorado, breck/key have a serious vibe. PC is chill and mellow, i guess some kids think its not though, personally i have alot of fun at pc.

i heard all the skyes to park city and all the urchins go to the canyons. It's always been that way.

word. Is it crouded? Cause at the canyons there is no one really so the park stays super nice all day. Does the park cruw at pc work on it all day and keep it nice?

ehavent been to breck or key but pc is def pretty intense, not that kids are mean or anything, thats not the point, its just very intimidating seeing people like idk..... CLOWNSCHOOL..... throwing down like crazy with kids like idk EVAN HEATH.... behind them with rad ass cameras.... it can be a bit overwhelming for a kid whos trying to nail his 3's

pc is sick because you can roll up alone and still ski with friends every day...everybody pretty much knows everybody so its dope and if you aren't anti-social you can meet new friends every day

dude i had a chance to go there this season for one day and it was absolutely awesome.  Bunch of kids throwing down, but everyone was chill and encouraging.  Everyone was happy to be there hah.

ya thats what im debating on ... cause i went to the canyons this whole year and it was so dope! everyone is way chill. And every so often you could meet some dope ass pros like gerey, andy, will, mcray, etc. so... idk. I think i want to try something new and go with pc? I have a while to decide thought so..?

Exactly. There are a ton of different posses at PC, but they all overlap and at the end of the day everyone is friendly with each other. If you are just friendly and outgoing, I guarantee you will meet some cool people. Just get up there and ride a lot, especially early season, and hop on the chair with some cool looking kids you don't know. Unless you're a complete douche (I doubt that's the case) you will probably get off the chair with some new friends and people to ride with for the day.

As for the parks, Canyons has a lot of cool jibs and IMO a little bit better flow, but overall PC takes the cake no contest.

park city is fun if you know people. not knowing people is intimidating. a lot of good skiers always doing good tricks every run. people are always hot lapping and going fast. pick n shovel lift is painfully slow, but i heard rumors of them putting in a quad or something. kings is on one of the most crowded lifts, and is a pretty long lap time. that being said, the parks are usually on point and the jumps are bigger and more abundant.

the canyons big park lap time is way faster and the flow is way better. they have way more creative rails/jibs and everyone is always stoked. the mountain itself has a lot better terrain aswell

^Well everyone in PC is stoked too...and the pick chairlift isn't painfully slow, it's just the good speed to make new friends!

After skiing pc for 6 years i decided big mountain was gonna be my thing and canyons would be a better/cheaper option. Don't get me wrong PC is an absolutely sick resort, just time to move on. I'm gonna miss it. They're both fun!

I've ridden The Canyons for a few years now and every year their park has progressed so much. The vibe there is super mellow, I don't think I've ever heard anything negative between groups or what not. Not to mention you can take hot laps in their big park, no lines. The variety at The Canyons is absurd, every week you can hit a new crazy feature. They have ill natural terrain features they set up like log road gaps and drops. With that said I'd still say PC has better jumps. Plus PC has a better early season park. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the PC vibe, not saying it's bad but I prefer a much chiller/relaxed vibe I get at The Canyons. I also think Kings Crown is a bit better than the Respect park. Either way I'm sure you'll be happy where you choose but I'd say give The Canyons a chance. Next year they will have more funding and they have one of, if not the hardest working park crew out there.

Ya I really like the vibe at the canyons so... chill. And you nvr have to wait in the big park run so you can take alot of laps. And im guessing they will get even more legit next year. But i really want to try something new and pc looks super fun but i dont really like waiting in long lines but i guess i could deal with it. Its a good way to blaze that JEA on the lift haha!

The pc vibe can probably seem intense if you don't become homies with everyone else. If you try to make friends by talking to people about like what trick you're working on or something you'll probably be ignored, but if you're packin dubies you should be able to make homies no problem. And if you don't do drugs no one likes you anyway.

snowbird is open. alta this weekend will be gnarly.

PC is tight. i came here knowing not one person and you slowly start getting to know people! its the fucking illest. perfect example. last day at PC. 100 people getting hammered and BBQing at the botom of the park. It was the fucking best. canyons was fun. but i felt like you needed music cause no one talked to anyone and was less...friendly. i mean no one hated. i just feel at PC everyone knows everyone so you just lap with friends all day!

Canyons for sure. definitaly really chill and way less crowded if you want to ski out of the park. ive been going to canyons since they renamed it back in '00 or whatever. its progressed so much every year and theyre gonna keep doing that. i liked the park at the canyons alot to but PC definitaly had better jumps. i would get a pass to canyons next year

I usually don't ski PC on Saturdays because crowds. But depending when you can ride, you can pull up mid-week throw on your gear and be hitting a jump in less than 10 minutes. You walk on any lift all day during the week. You don't need to take the cabriolet from the parking lot, and then walk for 5 min. to get to a 10 minute long gondola. You can roll up, have fun and be done for the day before you even get your 2nd lap in at The Canyons. However, I do like the mountain at Canyons more, and they do have creative jibs. Jumps are no contest, PC for the win.
