Hey NS, while everyone else is waiting for the JOSS edits to appear i was hoping to get some help on my final project for my MA 342 class. Long story short i set out to find three things. I am having trouble with the third thing, but it is rather minor. I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough estimate of an
angle of a jump that will allow for a 30 foot step up. I only need a rough angle, and i can do the rest.
The three things i am modeling are: 1. the perfect speed to hit the sweet spot of a 60 foot gap jump off of a 3 meter high jump with an angle of 35 degrees.
2. The speed traveling and angle of a jump to hit a 45 foot gap jump with a 25 foot tree in the middle and drag my hand on the tree.
3. As stated above.
I made this sweet m.file in matlab that allows me to use all of the equations of mass, acceleration, drag, and position.
Sorry if this is confusing i am in a hurry to get it done. Once again thanks for any help.
