Good news for Premiere Pro users trying to edit GoPro HD footage!

i decided to download cs5 and test out some of the new features, and to my surprise....Premiere can edit GoPro HD footage!

CS4 which has been out for quite some time now has been capable of working with GoPro HD footage all along.

What's the word on Premiere CS5? Any big new add ons? I might upgrade because I'm finding CS4 to be a little unreliable sometimes.

Really? as far as i knew the only way to get GoPro HD footage to work in Premiere CS4 was to change the file extension. And even then it was REALLY slow, when i tried to do anything.

On the topic of any new additions, i'm not totally sure yet, i've only been looking at it for a bout 10 minutes haha. And believe my i feel your pain when it comes to CS4.

It's certainly a bitch to work with, but I've used it before. However I can't say I've used it all that much, so I'm sure it does have it's bugs. It definitely takes a bit of render time though, I feel you on that.

CS4 is kind of ridiculous when it comes to stability. I had always pirated in the past and attributed it's lack of stability to that, but I've been running a legitimate copy for almost a year now and it's still wack. Time to test out CS5 I suppose!

Yea i'd say go for it, i can't speak for the overall stabilitiy, but it's definitely faster at rendering/editing HD footage.

yaaa, i just looked into it and it seems very nice. Native 64 bit processing? Yes please. They also tap into more RAM than before to increase render times. Adobe is on point. Too bad I'm all excited now and it doesn't get released until mid May. Bummer.
