I know Squaw is open until May 30th. It's not at south lake but it's probably only like an hour drive tops from south lake. I was there about a month ago and their park was soo much fun. The jumps were shaped amazingly well.

heavenly closes this Sunday, I’m pretty sure. the snow isn't that bad right now but there is no business. Kirkwood right now isn’t the greatest. You might want to go to Squaw or Alpine. Alpine is cheaper but it's not as good. It's a 45 minute drive around the lake to north shore

mammothpunks it has to be longer than 2.5, its like 200 miles. i think if you had perfect conditions you could make it in 2.5.

I talked to a kid who made it in two and a half hours, so ha. In theory bad road conditions add about 30 minutes to an hour, so three hours will probably be an average.

i have skiied at almost all the resorts around the lake and i would say squaw, kirkwood, and heavenly for sure would be your best choices. and it usually takes me about 3 hours to get to mammoth, but you can make a day trip out of it easily.

you could look for a place in Tahoe city, Thats less than 5 mins from squaw and alpine, 2 of the sickest resorts in Tahoe. And close to northstar as well except that Northstar is only good for park.
