Mhssc or wakeskis

alright so i hope this is the right area
anyways my parents said if I pay half I can go to mhssc
but i also found wake skis for about the same price and I live on the lake in the summer...i already wakeboard a little
just starting freestyle and I was wonder what would be better for learning new tricks?
if it makes a difference I would potentially be at hood for a week, but I could wakeski like almost everyday

wakeskiing will not help you get better at regular skiing. i have a wakeboard boat and wakeboard/surf everyday in the summer. wakeskis are nothing like real skis becasue the bindings dont support your legs  the way ski boots do. they're really unstable and flimsy. If i were you, i would just wakeboard instead. just load your boat up with some weight and launch off that wake.

have you ever worn a pair of waterski boots? they are a bit more supportive than hi top skate shoes, there is some transfer over between the two, but not that much.

Go to camp you can find wakeskis for like $100 dollars at fleet farm.

Mhssc is a way better idea, its summer so have fun wakeboard or whatever, and your still able to ski (on snow) in the summer this way.

MHSSC is the shit. sick freestyle crew, best tramp in hood area, sickest triple jump line on the mountain. chill people. Earlier sessions are better!

Word, earler sessions are better at hood for sure. Its all fun, but ive skiied pow up there during earlier sessions and had to walk back to the lift in later ones. So much fun either way tho.

you are confused.

you are thinking of waterskiing. which is where you ski behind a boat, on a directional, non twin-tip ski, (or skis) those boots are not supportive, they dont have to be, and they shouldnt be because alot of slalom skiing is done around 50mph. and you want the ski to come off so it doesnt tear your leg off. waterskii bindings are probably less supportive than a hi-top shoe, and are made out of flimsy rubber.

the kid is asking about wake skiing. which is basically freestyle skiing behind a boat on twin-tip super rockered freestyle skis.  where you grind rails and jump off the wake and shit. the boots on a wakeski are constructed pretty similarly to that of a wakeboard boot. which is very supportive. wake skiing boots are even much stiffer.


personally, id still go to camp.
