i don't need to watch him sleep in the "real" wilderness. i don't give a shit if he pitches a tent or even stays in a hotel. (although I don't know how many hotels there are in the middle of the australian outback or on top of a glacier, but w/e) it's not like he hasn't spent plenty of nights in the wilderness in "real life". he's already "proved" himself with his service, so whether or not he actually sleeps on a bed made of fern leaves or in a snow cave for a fucking tv show doesn't really matter to me - he still conveys the "survival skills" and in a much more entertaining manner.
and how can you not love that stupid fucking accent?
to each his own though. they're both way more hardcore than me and I do have respect for both of them. however, i like my running water, electricity, and nice soft bed.
