the quality of a ski film/edit is not just determined by originality or creativity; there are lots of different aspects that make up a good segment. flow, rhythm, structure, style, cinematography to name a few.
so while i agree that the skiing is a really important part of the event, the question is 'who can make the best video on a set of features in only a few weeks?' and the answer is inextricably tied to both skiing and videography. the exclusion of videography from consideration is like saying the 'best picture' category at the oscars should just go to whichever movie has the best acting.
all that said, i think iberg was right to weight the 'overall impression' category higher, but people will invariably have differing opinions/biases. the important thing is that everyone killed it so hard there was a three-way tie.
