Just threw a no-hitter vs. the Braves. This is the first in Rockies history and as a fan I am super excited. Cy young maybe?? He also improved his record to 3-0

Pretty dope, but he does play in Colorado so its hard to imagine he'd have the same numbers as the other candidates.


Not to mention Doc is going to win 25 games at least, so hes got the Cy in the bag pretty much.

he walked 6 batters. that takes away from the no hitter. it was more due to the braves sucking than him being a good pitcher.

He plays half of his games at home... If he is going to win the Cy Young, hes going to have to pitch well at home and on the road.

Also, he did have 6 walks.

Yea but those were in the first 5 innings, he found his comfort zone after that.. Look at his last couple of pitches, reaching 98-97 mph after throwing 125 pitches. No other pitcher in the league could do that.

The catch in center field from fowler was ridiculous too, holy shit he was hauling balls to get that ball. I think this game will start the momentum for the rockies. Look out SF cause here come the Rockies.

the most walks a pitcher has had in a no hitter was 10, back in 1965 by Jim Maloney, and there have been lots of 7 & 8 walk no hitters so thats actually pretty good.
