player should have been called for jumping into the keeper and a hand ball, also could have been called for sheilding the keeper.
way it does suck, i've had quiet a few of those games. we had one where the other team kicked the ball and one of our players was just standing there our box and it hit is foot and jumped straight up and hit his hand. now wtf did u want him to do about that? the other team got a pk to win the game. if we won oir tied it we would have won league champs.
I think your team lost because they defended terribly. Sure the ref could have blown up for the body check or the handball but they were not the most blatant of offenses- there are so many similarly marginal decisions that go for and against each team over the course of the match that all you can do is concentrate on doing your own job properly.
Neither your defenders nor your goalkeeperd did theirs. They lacked any sort of organisation and communication not to mention balls. You should never ever even let a ball bounce in that situation. That your team did in such an area of the pitch at such a crucial stage in the game means they just were not good enough to deserve the win, irrespective of any referreing errors.
This thread reminds me of Schumacher's infamous assault at the '82 World Cup, slo-mo is at 0.33:
