I don't know. It seems staged. But man, if it is real, what a crack up. People are indeed just that odd.
Funny that the European guy who made the comment earlier could truely be that ignorant. That would be like me saying I think all Germans are crazy and want to kill Jews. Or that all French people have no backbone.
Firstly you obviously do give a fuck what we think, otherwise you wouldn't have responded in such an angry fashion and then later admitted that you're 'tired of people ragging on the US'.
Secondly I appreciate your frustration at the negative stereotypes many Americans have to put up with - many are unfair and made themselves by ignorant people who haven't known Americans or spent time in the country. I have lived there and had the time of my life, meeting some of the best people ever. Many of my preconceptions were blown away and I will always stick up for the US if people make unfounded or ignorant generalisations about your country.
Having said that you come across like an arrogant and ignorant fuck - like a charicatured version of the very worst type of stereotype that you bemoan so much. I do not want to fucking be like you. And yes American hegemony has been the reality for many years but that does not make you better than everyone else: the Romans used to run shit and they fucked a lot of shit up in doing so, the Europeans used to run shit and they fucked a lot of shit up in doing so, and yes, the US may run shit but they have fucked up A LOT in doing so.
