I haven't seen another thread on here abou this, but opera is now available as an iPhone app. First impressions of it are really good. It's fast and the tabbed browsing interface is probably better than safari. Also has the speed dial page which is a nice way to navigate common bookmarks. You can also turn image downloads off to save bandwidth, or scale image quality back.
It's fairly big news for iPhone apps because it isn't using the safari engine, it uses operas own engine, which I think is a first for the iPhone.
Speed increases come from data compression, which also reduces the amount of mobile data consumed. But if you're interested in that sorta stuff there's alot of info on the net about it.
Check it out anyway, it seems pretty sick sofar!
