right it doesn't have to be perfect but when you say the kid was MURDER we might either assume he was either murderED or a murderER, both two entirely different things. if i'm too lazy to click the article i might either say "+vibes" or "that kid is fucked, what an asshole".
stay in school, grammar IS important
