New Panasonic M4/3 camcorder announced!

"A video camera by Panasonic that takes the chip from the GH1, sticks it in a video camera body and properly optimises it for video! The press release states it give dof similar to that of a 35mm movie camera."  The AG-AF100 will be available by the end of 2010

Hope canon will answer and do something similar!

btw price rumours are around $6000.

im pretty sure it uses the micro 4/3rds mount, which is awesome
its the best of both worlds with dslr videos ability to use awesome lenses, and the autofocus/continuous recording, + many more benifits of a normal video camera
this looks promising

Canon is supposed to be making an announcement very soon as well.

Sony unveiled a new prototype for a small digital cinema camera at their NAB 2010 press conference. The camera is scheduled to be released at next year's NAB.

Love the fact that they are working on a PL-mount! Which means you can use the same lenses that you would use on 35mm film or cameras like the F35.
