History of Rocker and Early rise?

I did ude the seachbar but I can not find anything on the history of early rise and rocker. If anyone knows anything it would be very helpful. Thanks

The first production ski to feature reverse camber was the Volant Spatula which premiered in the 2002-2003 season.........................

The Spatula was a ski manufactured by Volant skis from 2001 to 2003. It was the first production ski to feature reverse camber as well as reverse side cut. The ski was initially envisioned by professional freeskier Shane McConkey as early as 1996, and he convinced the company to manufacture the first prototypes in the summer of 2001. The Spatula gained a cult following, and along with its successor the K2 Pontoon (2006), inspired other ski manufacturers to experiment with a variety of camber shapes................................

The Spatulas were definitely the first.

Pretty sure the year the first EP Pros came out (what was that, 3 seasons ago now), the EPs and Hellbents were the only truly rockered skis, although no doubt the EP Pros were in development much longer than the Hellbents...

Sorry guys, but rocker has been around forever, since people skied on 300 cm long skis with one pole they pushed between their legs. I'll post a pic later.

also, the spatulas weren't rockered. They were reverse camber.

Rocker - lengthy upturn of tips and or tails, ususally flat or regular camber underfoot

reverse camber - a mellow reverse curvature of the ski the whole way

Early rise - the wimp-out version of rocker. basically just a little bending up before the actual tips or tails, but not very lengthy. Not really worth it - doesn't do anything if you ask me.
