Hey guys, just looking to get a new camera, I know people that have a 7d and love it, but also people who shoot with the T2i and was wondering what you guys think about each. Obviously the 7d is better, but have heard the the T2i is a better value and shoots pretty close to the same. Also what lens's should I get with either. Thanks for any help just trying to get some feedback about these. Sorry if it's a repost.
Different still picture features. Don't got off MP only, 7d is a better still camera by far.
7d is weather sealed and much burlier while the t2i is plastic and breakable.
Otherwise they're pretty similar overall, but for filming skiing or taking pictures, the 7d is the shit, the t2i is such a low end, price point, hddslr.
I recently bought the T2i instead of the 7D mainly because I'm using it for filming and the film specs are very similar. The weather sealed body is my only main concern but I bought a gopro for the nasty weather. Take care of it and it will take care of you as well. I couldn't justify spending close to another 1,000 bucks for the photo difference.
Im using both the t2i and the 7d. If you are going to use it mainly for shooting film, then get the t2i, If youre doing a lot of photos, then get the 7D.
Thanks for your input guys, and that deal sounds sick, unfortunately I dont have the cash right now to pick that deal up. I'll keep looking this summer as I make more money.
The 7D has a scroll wheel, whereas the T2i requires you a push buttons to change shutter/scroll images. The T2i also has a smaller ISO range, more noise in lowlight, overheats faster, and is made of plastic. 7D is definitely worth the upgrade in my opinion, especially since its weather sealed.
