wow that really makes you realize how small we actually are

youve got to be kidding me with all these "thats really humbling" and "OMG look how small we really are!"
this video did nothing for me, regarding half the time was spent with the commentator saying "everyone you know, everyone that ever lived, etc..."
all it did was show one picture, supposedly showing how small we really are. now im not disputing the point, but im saying that the video didnt relate it to anything for comparison. i know where are small, and seeing us from saturn doesnt make a difference to me. now something that is truly fascinating, and im pretty sure it has been posted on here before, is the picture showing earth in relation to our universe, then our galaxy, then our galaxy to all the millions and millions just in one little frame. that is a true mind fuck, this, well this is just stupid

I think the point is just to get you thinking. Plus I think its the end of a book. It was never really meant to be shown on the internet as a "mindfuck." I could be wrong about that, not sure...

That video was awesome. It reminds me of a "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" quote :

 "Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mindbogglingly big it is. I mean you may think its a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space."

I have no idea why but I love that quote.

I can't really put a finger on what it is about what you said that is so annoying, but there is definately something. Mainly, you don't need to be right, but whats wrong with having a beleif in why were here or whats out there? Who's going to prove you wrong? No one, all we can do is discuss our different ideas and the different possiblities of the universe and things even beyond our universe.
