i used my friends HD go pro for a few days out in CO and i was really impressed for a few reasons.
- the shots are all really clear and good quality.
-you could take it off huge jumps and not have to worry about fucking it up if you fall because of the impact proof casing. we never used it as an actual helmet cam, we just filmed eachother with it.
-you could stuff it in your pocket when you were done instead of have to rock no-poles and carry around a huge delicate camera.
-it already has somewhat of a wide angle lens.
-i know next to nothing about video cameras but it seems way cheaper than a normal camera. ($300, right?)
the only downsides are that you can't see the shots after you take them and you can't zoom obviously. but personally im much more of a fan of follow-cam-thug-music edits anyway.
