Major slowdown issues

Anyone else getting this? Pages taking forever to load, or everything loads, but it wont allow you to type in the message box? Pictures seem to take forever or occasionally never load, even when using my trusty image tags. Tried different computers, resetting our connections and clearing our caches here at the office...

ok i think i did it .. at the bottom of typeing box there is two things that say remove .. just click remove ?

i'm not sure if that'll do it because i've been with out the fancy editor for 4 years
but if its still there go manage my NS (top left corner under your user name)
then go down 5 or 6 rectangles
and click no

I KNOW, it takes a good 60 seconds sometimes to be able to click in the reply box. and i thought i was the only one...

Scroll Down to Fancy Editor and Click "No"

I am actually way happier without the Fancy Editor. I got rid of it approx. 6 months ago when I was encountering similar problems, and it has been so nice since then. No loading problems and posting things is actually faster and easier (assuming you know basic html tags).

I've never used the fancy editor, but I've noticed this too, especially with pictures. Perhaps the server that deals with the media stuff (nscdn.com?) is struggling with the load?

The whole forum is super laggy right now on chrome. it takes between 10-20 seconds to load a page. This is only NS, every other site working perfectly fine

Google Chrome especially doesn't like the fancy editor. Once I removed it (which I thought I had done ages ago) the reply pages load faster, although photos and the main page still take a while. I feel like NS is a sensory overload even for my eyes so many the browser thinks the same thing.

Are Image tags actually working for anyone else right now? I've been messing with them trying to get pictures to show up in a news update for an hour now, I get no difference with any of the hosting sites I've tried...

I am having this problem right now, usually don't but i am unable to create a BST thread, i mean i can type but i am unable to bold underline and add pictures form my profile,

Absolutely no luck with images Rowen!! It just ends up blank... same with other posts I've seen. And it didn't matter which host or image type it was...

NS is falling apart! Oh noes!

Yea I've been getting some of this too. More often than not the images load, but there are some where there is no hint that there even is an image. No link, no icon, nothing. It seems especially true of images posted recently, like in the past few days.

i found part of the slowdown was the ads. as much as id like NS to get ad revenue, i discoverd that adserve.newschoolers was what was holding everything up a lot of the time.

they havent been working for me for a while, every time i put in the tags then the html, the link auto hyperlinks and then it wont post it as an image.

i am on osx and chrome

its been getting pokey for me again. where it will just sit there and not load for a few seconds. and i have an adblocker on now, so its not the ads anymore

lately ns has been acting up again and has been soooo damn slow, to the point where i cant even browse. especially the hot girl thread, how am i supposed to get my daily fix of the hot girl thread if i cant even see the pictures...... i cant, thats how

The problem is that it is slow... then normal for a couple hors.. then almost downright dead and not working (took me 10 minutes to load "My Threads" one night)

This has been happening for me, as well. NS has been a whole lot slower than other sites lately... I'm on Firefox if it helps.

It's been fine for me. Not taking any longer then normal to load, all pictures are showing up, and I'm on FireFox and Fancy GUI is on.
