  Hey ,  I want to start lonboarding but I don't know witch one to get atm.  Plz help me witch one to choose! 

1)  sector 9 Joel tudor Longbard

Deck: 7 Ply Maple
Specs: 38.3" L x 8.75" W x 27.375" WB
Trucks: 9.0" Gullwing Charger Trucks

ya...... it really depends on what you are going to be using it for...... bombing hills? just cruising around town? transportation?

If you choose to waste your time with Sector Nine, do yourself a favor and upgrade the bearings to some bones reds. Sector nine stock bearings BLOW.

Honestly, for your money, I think you should get either a kracked skulls M1 or a Legendary Merlin. I own the merlin and its the best ride I've ever had. Oh, and its only $170 with excellent stock hardware.

Il ive in Quebec city. I'll use it more on some hills than cruising town.  And no I don't have alot of experiences with longboards.  I just tried it once or twice with my freinds longboard.

dont wanna thread jack, but figured i would put this in here.

what is a good long board, that isnt super long, and you can still theoretically olly and shit on it, but it is good for just cruising also.  like a "medium" board.  maddddddd KKKAAARRMMMAAA for replies.

If you have money for a sector 9 you have money for a Kracked Skulls or Gravity both brands are way better than Sector 9.  I got my Gravity Mini-Carve for only 160 and that was with shipping.  Kracked Skulls is priced about the same.

you can't go wrong with the Kracked Skulls M1 or Simitar (if you want a shorter ride then the M1) for a beginner board. The KS guy ships to canada very fast, the price for the complete setup is amazing, and I've been riding mine for 3 years now no problems! its a stellar deal...way better then a sector 9 ride and it costs less too.

+1 for Kracked Skulls boards

BUSTIN! that's all I can say, I got myself a strike and it is great for everything, kracked skulls from what I have heard is good, loaded is amazing, I would definitely check those out, sector nines are not worth spending your time on, earthwing's seem tight, and Arbor is also really fun, oh and how could I forget about Landyachtz, those are pretty quality and made in canada.
For wheels I would definitely go with orangatang 4presidents or anything orangatang really.
for trucks I would go with randall's they hold up really well, I have those on all my boards, I have heard good things about paris also.
bearings go for your classic bones super reds, very fast, surprisingly fast actually.
hardware don't really matter, just get ur skateshops stock hardware

stay away from sector 9, ive been longboarding for a few years and know pretty much all about it no matter how cheap they may seem, it will pay off in the long run to get a solid setup,
never summer isnt to pricey and amkes good stuff

or pay a lil more n get a lanyatchz

or if you want a lil more $$ but VERY fun and practical cruiser check out loaded

Ok. I just checked Bustins longbards and they look pretty sweet.

What do you guys think about this setup compaired to the sector 9 ones.

Original Longboards are pretty legit. If you were cruisin i'd suggest my friends company cause they're sick. But your not cruisin.

1) Don't buy a Sector 9, they suck. If you absolutely have to, then buy only the deck, and get yourself some Randalls or Paris trucks

2) Kracked Skulls boards are by far the best deal for the money, but IDK what shipping to Canada is like. However they cost roughly the same as S9 boards and come with much much better trucks/wheels. The deck seems kind of cheap but its bouncy and smooth and fun as hell and it will treat you a lot better than S9 boards. They come with Gullwing trucks which suck and it really makes all the difference.

I just bought a Sector 9 Ala Moana with dual pivot trucks.

I quite like it, but it is slow, and I definitely wouldn't have got it if I had ridden some boards from other brands first.

I live in New Zealand though, so it is hard to get any variety.

DON'T GET SECTOR 9.

1) Don't get those trucks. Get Randals or Paris. If you must, then get Crails but I just really like Randals. Crails are a little stiffer more for serious downhill. Randals are great for downhill but carve real nice too. Bears are not so great.

2) Those are awesome, awesome wheels. BigZigs are much cooler but IDK if they would fit on that deck. You should ask around though because seeing as it is a drop thru they might actually fit on. They are like the same wheel but fucking massive.

3) If your new and you are going to be bombing hills more speed is only going to mean hills are going to be harder to bomb. Save yourself some money. Bearings are easily replaced later on, and you are probably going to burn the first set out pretty quick anyway if you ride through gutters or in the rain (like I do lol). You could not buy them and use that $50 to get a board in a slightly higher price range. Check out what the Bustin stock bearings are like though because some stocks are just unpassable.

i have a sector 9 haleiwa deck its super smooth..i have some gumballs on it with bones swiss labyrinth bearing--a little more expensive but totally worth it! sector 9 is good starting deck if your just getting into it but in the long run you want something of better quality...mine is just for cruising so its perfect...

i would suggest original longboards they have different sizes and their spring system in trucks is sick!
