Park skis for big airs and rails?

I'm trying to decide on a new pair of park skis for next season, up until now I've skied mainly powder and a little groomed, I want to slay the park with a vengeance next season.

About me:
150-160lbs depending on the day
180cm tall and growing, will probably be 185 or so by next season
Charge hard, moderate technical skill on groomers, not much training in powder or park
Like to throw BIG airs
Currently skiing on 177cm Volkl Bridges mounted at -2 or so from center, love them for their stiffness and ability to destroy almost any condition. Alright park skis for what they are.

I want a ski that's not going to be a soft noodle, something that's going to be stable on massive landings and still do great on rails. I don't really know what I'm getting into with park skis, it's a whole new world to me. I've done some research, and haven't really been able to conclude much.

Moment Rocker - I like the idea of a rockered park ski, it'd be nice for doing butters, but I hear this thing is a floppy noodle when it comes to landings.
Moment Reno Jib - Don't know much about this one
ON3P Blue Steele - I've heard good things about this one, and I hear next year's model will be slightly rockered, sort of like the Moment Rocker. Input?
Pipe Cleaner - Don't know much save for the fact that everyone likes them.
TNK - Same as with the Pipe Cleaner

Any other suggestions/input?

This years Blue Steele is actually available rockered and non-rockered. Groovy!

Now, why did I forget the Wall? I've got the Bridges, the wall seemed like a more cambered and softer Bridge, it could work awesomely. It was a tossup to get those or my current Bridges, and I chose the Bridges as they were more all-mountain oriented.

Any more info on the ON3Ps or Moments? I'd like to support a smaller company, and I'd have to say Scott has damn good pricing.

Ninthward seems a good idea too, do they still have the 2-for-1 deal going? I know it was on TGR a while ago. I'll hit them up too.

by the title, I'd say you're looking at the 2 ends of the park ski spectrum.  Softies are often more fun for rails, whereas you want some support for speed on big airs and the occasional backseater.  that said, walls, then reno jibs, then blue steels.

if you like jumps stay away from rocker. butters are easy enough to begin with, and you loose edge hold on take offs and stability landing. ON3P makes them without rocker, its a good option.

or i have a pair of still in plastic ninthward firstbloods 180 for sale, also a good option, nice and stiff.

By backseater I assume you mean pow? I'm planning on using some of my summer job money to buy a pair of Billy Goats, that fills my powder and groomer slots, and even if I don't go with the BGs I've still got my Bridges which are pretty decent in pow. I just need a park ski. I'm undecided on the RJ, the BS and the Wall, although I'd go with the BS to support ON3P, and because it'd be cheaper to ship those AND the BGs.

Any comparisons of those 3?

well you said you want to focus on jumps, that eliminates the moments, walls ski really well but i have heard about durability issues with them snapping. so that leaves BS, which would be a great choice, especially in the non-rockered option.

Why would you go non-rockered as opposed to rockered? I'm game either way, I assume it's seeing as rockered skis are more likely to wheelie out on jumps and less stable overall.

i would vote s4 probably one of the best jump skis out there, good on rails and to top it off if you mount with rossi bindings you get a 2 year warnty I would pick them over any other park ski no doubt.  Only problem at all is that they are mid stiff so buttering isnt going to be as easy as say a reno rocker, they make up for it in other areas in a huge way

The S4 was another ski I looked at, and I would never mount my skis with anything other than FKS/Pivots.

hahahahahaha, no.  not at all.  when most of us try new tricks that are landed in a sketchy manner (like not un-corking), we try not to fall.  the most common instinctive tendency is to shift one's weight in a rear direction and unsmoothly a-bang the shit out of the landing.

when I mean powdah chowdah, nukin' white gold, the big jeffrey P. lepowski will let you know.

because they're more stable, and more poppy as the camber works with you as you load your tails to pop. but mostly cause the extra edge makes a big difference carving off jumps when its icey out.

Rossi s4 is where it's at. Best jump ski and still fun on rails. Get them

I would highly recommend the s4, best jump ski I've ever owned, and they are really, really light. They also kill it on rails too. I have also never had any durability issues and I've ridden the Scratch FS WRS, Ghetto, and Squindo, and planning on getting Pommiers for nexts season.

Are those the new Salomon? I was going to demo them but I didn't get the chance.

So what you guys are saying is that I'd be good on the S4 or the wall? I'd like to buy ON3P, but I'm not gonna buy a ski that I'm not gonna get the most out of, I'm not made of money, and I'd certainly go for Volkls or Rossis.

Libs are really stiff and great for big jumps. less washing outs more landings. try a jib nas it has a wider waist for all your riding needs

Id say either one should be perfect for you both are known for durability and are all around good skis for what your looking to do.  Find the one in the right size for a good price and i doubt you will be disappointed with either (i am bias to the s4 just lighter and more fun, i have ridden both).
