Afterbangs?

Ok. As you can tell by my name, i own line Afterbangs. They are my first park skis and I havent mounted the bindings yet. The only problem is, all that Ive been hearing about the skis has been negative. Someone please convince me that I made the right decision.

there okay the bases are a little slow and there not as soft as they say they are which was a dissapointment to me. they are great on rails if you doo alot of rails then you made the right choice.

I bought the ski to myself in october and I think that its a really good ski. Its best on rails but I think its really great on all jumps to.

I have heard that people say that its unstable on jumps that you need to jump over 15 meters but I don't agree with them at all, and that you could jump on much bigger jumps than that with the ski before its get unstable.

I love mine!  Sick on rails, and on jumps.  Whoever says theyre unstable on jumps talks shit.  they seem fine on an 80ft kicker so dunno what else people want?!

Your on crack or something man.  Afterbangs are absolutely terrible on anything bigger than 40 feet.

They are harder than the Invader, which is worse for rails, but better for jumps. I would say they are a jibbing ski. But if park is not the only thing you are doing, return them immediately, they are the slowest skis I ever tried.

You made a good decison dont worry.

REASONS WHY I LOVE MY AFTERBANGS

1) They slay rails like tiger woods does hoes
2) They hold up on 50-60 foot jumps
3) They make you feel gnarly in powder.
4) The graphic scares little kids and old ladies.
5) They are in great condition after thirty days of rusted rails and icy landings.


p.s. please tell me you live on the east coast.

ive never skied them but honestly im sure theyre FINE. equipment is important in skiing and all, and good equipment is really nice, but the fact is people were throwing the fuck down long ago on skis we would consider worthless. my college budget only allows me to just keep using the 10 year old (literally) line skogens that i got a few years ago, and theyre fine. sure the edges are shot and they chatter at high speed but they do the job perfectly well.

my 2 cents: your afterbangs are gonna be great. theyre probably not the greatest outside the park.

i hav the and they r a little slow but if u bought them u love rails and thats what they r for... a little unstable on jumps but u get used to it... its a good buy trust me

I got the 155 idk if there just a little big on me but I think there a bit heavy and yeah slow I haven't been able to throw down on them yet bc I'd like to save them till next season to save some money but you should like um

depends on what you like to ski...i wouldn't buy them. and i've heard they were designed to last no longer than one season but im gonna bet that's not true. oh well you own them, might as well enjoy them. they'll get the job done.

I don't buy into all the poor durability craze. Sure, there's been a whole bunch of afterbangs that have broken at the hands of their NS owners, but that doesn't tell the whole story.

1. The afterbang has sold HUGE numbers. There are so many out there, that it's obvious a shitload more are going to break in relation to other less popular skis.

2. They were marketed as a tough, durable ski and I know for a fact that some people bash the shit out of them on purpose, just for the sake of it.

3. When some kid posts up pictures of his snapped a-bang tail, you have no idea what he was doing with the ski or if it got caught at an odd angle at the time of the breakage.

They probably aren't as durable as the marketing leads you to believe, but I'm sure they're no worse than a lot of other skis out there.

I skied a-bangs once, and hated every second of it. Too narrow, too cambered, waste of time. Just my two cents

I think you made a good descision. But, my bro bought a pair and he hadn't mounted them yet. So, he returned them and got Anthems, because they're arn't making an Anthem next year : (
