Another What Ski Sorry

Realy didnt want to do this but i have read through most of them and none of the threads have realy helped. So i just grew out of my 170 pub enemies and am in the market for a new ski. So i live in the east but i must admit that i am pretty spoiled and that out of the 27 days i got this year 14 were out west. Every year we spend at least 8 days at snowbird utah as a family. So im looking for a ski that can handle about 9 inches of pow, and up to about 20 ft cliffs but also handle a full day of park at mount snow jumps, rails and buttering (which could get icy).

I am about 5'11 155 pounds (may still be growing) I am a good technical skier in almost every aspect.
I have looked at Lizzies but feel like theyll be too short and alpha 1s and 2s but feel like they wouldnt be able to hold up to the snowbird aspect of things.

Want a ski thats

Good
-in about 9 inches of pow
-for a full day of park
-some what soft
- for jumps and rails

Thanks for the quick response but for anyone who has skied on the hazmat or jeronimo i would like to know how soft the skis is i realy would like a ski that i can get up on its tips and tails

I've demoed the hazmats and the fujas. The hazmats were perfect for the whole mountain they float pretty well, and when i took them in to the park they were super responsive and poppy, The hazmats are super durable, and light just a completely awesome ski. they were stiff, but yet slightly soft in the tails to butter. The fujas are way softer than the hazmats, and heavier. but they were great in both areas, with great floatation

This sounds retarded but I love my Surface LL2's for some good ole all-mountain type stuff. They carve like a champ an absolutely shred in the pow. Also make a pretty good park ski if that's what you wanna use them as.

Yeah man check out LL2's. I ski them in the park all the time, and they kill it. Granted they aren't the most amazing rail skis, but do surprisingly well on jumps. They are stiff enough to support you, but with the rocker they are still plenty playful. On the mountain, they are simply amazing.

look into the rossignol s3s, they're soo sick. i demoed a pair at deer valley and they have good float in powder and can make tight turns easily in the trees.

atomic snoops, surface watch life, atomic coax, line blend, kung fujas, on3p jeronimo, faction wednesday, armada arv, rossi s3, rossi s5, liberty hazmast or helix, and maybe some salomon sentinels
( new next year. like 90 something underfoot edge armor. id check it out it looks like salomon stepped up their line for next year.) this is a pretty good list if you look through and i think i mentioned all the good ones i can think of and yes i realize some of these were already said

Old bump but i still haven't picked a ski. My top choices now are Blends and Atomic Coax.
To anyone who has skied both which is softer (or better in terms of buttering), better float in powder, better jumps, better rails any input would be great.

i think you are going to want something a little fatter.  snowbird can get some massive storms and you definitely want a wider ski to get on top of the pow.  as you already know, that mountain is pretty steep, so you want a ski that floats to the top pretty quickly.  that might mean that you will have to sacrifice some park performance.  the best option is to get a fatty pow ski, and maybe a closeout cheaper park ski.  if you are low on funds and can only get one pair, look at the Libety Helix.  it's pretty good in the park, but pretty fat for pow as well.  it's also rails groomers and hardpack.  also, it wouldn't be too fat for the east coast as well.

One of my good friends has skied Jmos, and he says that they are pretty soft and super easy to butter on.

This or SFBs.

(I have a house in Utah and my bud's SFBs really hold up well if you're doing more pow than park. Trust me, by the looks of last year you want a ski as fat or more fat than SFBs.)

The specs looked perfect for me but my brother had them last year and he didnt even ski as many days as i did and they snapped while he slid off a s box and the wouldnt warranty them because there were signs of rail usage.

And to ^ sfb would be sick but i dont know if i could handle them on icy day on the east coast or even in the park. But ill look into them more.

So you have widened my decision to Atomic Coax, Line Blend, and On3p Jeronimos. And then maybe line SFB

just get next years fujas. they widened the to 102 under foot and gave them slightly more rocker.

i'm 6'4'' and can attest that the Watch life kill it everywhere. it is my go to day to day ski that handle everything. Groomers, Park, powder, kinda different on moguls but still can kinda get through them, Chop, and what i like to refer to as day old mashed potatoes....... they will get you around everywhere.

just because of the stories you heard about the nine life? ask anyone with the watch life of the 09/10 and i almost garuntee you don't hear anything bad about them.

They're pretty legit about their warranty i've found. Had a pair of 08/09 watch lifes that broke this year, called them up and they replaced them with this years model watch life. The 08/09 had some durability issues but the 09/10 and 10/11 are bomb proof in that model. Just my $.02 on the matter, take it or leave it

I can appreciate him wanting to stay away from them for that reason though
