2012 or Alpha 2?

I am wanting an a park ski that will do alright in pow and all mountain and am wondering want will be better. Thanks.

....then how are you going to buy the Alpha 2s or the 2012s...they're both also $550 (actually I don't know the price of the 2012s, but I'm guessing around there).

no im pretty sure he likes them lots as hes had alpha ones last year and 2's this year
but he said he likes the new thalls ALOT more

no they have the sidewall underfoot thing and cap at tips and tails like the elf shoe skis
and im not sure if theyre rockered but theyre for sure different

I just got the alphas in the mail and I found the 2012s for pretty cheap but I think I will stick with alpha. If anyone has any other opinions fill me in.

the thall is made stiffer underfoot. no rocker. swing weight will be wayyy less though cause of the cap construction in the tips/tails.

idk, i really want some rockered park skis, they jsut seem so fun.

Yeah idk. I just like the idea of the alphas. sounds kinda stupid but it seems like they will be super fun.

I have two questions with this statement...first of all, you asked this question AFTER you ordered your Alpha 2's? and secondly, where did you find 2012s...they don't come out till next year....

I guy that won them is selling. I bought alphas and was and am planning on keeping them just seein if the the 2012s are some crazy sick new ski compared to the alpha.

gotcha, if I were you I'd stick with the Alpha, it's be proven that's is a sick, durable ski, Salomon has been having some issues with their park skis lately (which should be fixed now that production has been moved from China to Austria - but I'd wait and see if it's really fixed).

Ill let you know how the 2012s are! Haha. But I think that you'll like the Alphas better because they will ski like a smaller JJ, which you love.
