Just Some Recent Skiing Shots To View/Critique

i really like the first one, the shadow adds alot to the shot, and i love spread eagles.

the first dfd rail one is really nice as well, poppy colors, and the snow flying adds some reference as to where the skier is coming from. good work

One thing i noticed on the DFD picture was the beginning of the rail was cropped out. Also if it was shot landscape as opposed to portrait then it would flow with the motion more IMO. But i love the colors in all of them! Good work jack

First ones probably your best, the only thing that bothers me is the tip of the three in the top right. but your fish eye works here. In the rest of the shots though, it doenst work. The skier is too far away, plus why are all of your horizontal shots shot vertically? The only thing you are adding is pretty blue sky, at the cost of readability and framing.

Also you have something on your sensor/lens. There is a spot on the top three in close to the top left corner.

And on your edit, why did you choose to put two obviously digital pictures (colors are too contrasty for most film) in a 4x5 contact print? Not criticizing, just hoping for your reasoning.

Yeah my sensor is real filthy, gotta get that cleaned.

As for the edit. I just photoshoped that border around it to add some texture to it. I know that they aren't 35mm I just thought it looked cooler than a solid border that's all.

On the gap shot, most of the snow is blown out so there is no texture. I'd consider picking up a polarizer for your lens and just keep an eye on your white balance... you might have to underexpose by 1/3 stop depending on your aperture.
