And all this stuff about being in a shitty area.. after spending 4 years, I would have to disagree. LA is a really sweet place to have everything you need. Yeah, it's not your typical college town, but it's definitely a really cool experience. They just built that whole big LA live thing down the street with free shuttles every night, so you've got your whole college night vibe, plus the surrounding area is just getting better and better by the year. Downtown is sweet, fashion district is really cool, lots of cool art galleries and shops. Even if you're not into football, you'll get into it and have a blast partying with friends and watching games.
And the icing on the cake - skiing mammoth every weekend. Last year I was in engineering full time and skied 110 days. This year I graduated in december and moved up to the ski team house and am living here full time.
Negatives - yeah a lot of rich bitches and frat douches, but it's a huge school and you can find your niche. Lots of cool cinema kids, smart engineering kids, business kids that actually are proactive in starting businesses and what not. It's a really really good school and most people are really really smart.
i mean come on, don't you want to be apart of this!
