That’s right – Sam Adams has used the age-old industry trick of record buy backs to blow up. Meaning, young Scammy has his people downloading his record to boost his sales numbers – and in turn, push his debut to #1 on iTunes hip hop charts. Scam Adams iTunes debut has been baffling to all levels of the music industry, from artists to executives. No one could seem to understand how a complete unknown with no major label backing could chart #1. Last week no one knew the Trinity educated, silver spoon fed, captain of a division III soccer team college boy — and seemingly overnight, with multiple features on JumpTheTurnstyle and a fraudulent boosted iTunes debut.. Sam Adams became the biggest name in hip hop. Now it’s all over. Scam Adams is fake. His people manufactured his entire career.. and he got caught out.

"Earlier this month, Sam Adams was under the spotlight after accusations that he gamed the iTunes system to top their digital hip-hop charts surfaced on the web. But the Boston rapper, who recently sat down with Billboard.com to discuss the allegations, says he's thankful for the attention the naysayers are paying him.
"We're in a genre of music that everyone likes talking about how they're a hustler and how they're successful and how they'll do anything to get to success," the 22-year-old says. "If I did buy my album, which I didn't, who cares? Look at me now. I'm meeting with everyone ... I've always dreamed of meeting. What, you're mad 'cause a white kid did it? And we did it on our own? To all the haters, to all the bloggers -- thank you."

Adams is prepping his as-yet-untitled album, which he describes as "more dance, progressive hip-hop." In the coming weeks, Adams will also be releasing the accompanying video to his latest single, "Driving Me Crazy," which he shot in L.A. and performed at the Billboard studios recently. itunes and some other sources clarified that he didn't buy his own albums. The people that wrote the article accusing him of not being legit wrote a follow up article apologizing. but its whatever honestly every time someone says his name and talks about that stuff more people hear about him and he just gets bigger. Kid is going places for sure

he's great, has a bit of a different style than most, but thats why i like him. some of it sounds slightly techno-ish but its not enough to really make a difference.
