I have not skied them, but have examined a new pair at the causwell store. From my personal experience, they looked like an much thinner, less durable AR6. They are super SUPER light and have excellent swing weight, yet they are thin. They also have a rather bizarre tail which isn't even with the tip that I wasn't that into.

I would love to try a pair though, they are definitely becoming popular on the east coast.

yeah, mine snapped...but Surface is hooking it up.

They are extremely light and poppy, full of life and energy. The only problem with them is the durability, Big_Spence had some issues with his edges, I've seen a few pairs (including my own) in pieces, kinda a bummer cause they were so much fun, hopefully they'll be better next year.

Warranty rate on nine lifes is less than 1% that is pretty damn good for a ski that is getting the shit beat out of it all day long! as far as edge cracks detune your skis before taking them to the rails and they are  far less likely to be damaged!

I've only spent one week of hard park skiing on em. Love em. Really lively ski, stiff, poppy, and light. First time i popped a roller i went really fucking far which was both scary and awesome.

warranty rate is so low because you won't accept them and they haven't sold many at all.
mine were just plain turned away.
i will never again buy a pair of Surface's because of the way i was treated via email while trying to get my piece of shit nine lifes replaced.
i just finally stopped dealing with you guys.

Warranty rate is less than 1% of several hundred pair sold in the U.S. were ATTEMPTED to be sent in for warranty!

i will say that my surface one life's are fucking just incredibly light.

my 189 one life's are lighter than my 177 volkl walls.

well, they said to send them to them - don't know for sure that they'll be warrantied.

I don't plan on keeping them, I'm gonna either sell them of keep them until next season and give them out as a prize for a mini rail jam at my local mountain.

And to be fair, mine were in two pieces which isn't necessarily rail damage...sucks that they didn't take yours though.

i've had good experience with surface. i got a hoodie from mike and he sent it out i think twice, and he believed me when i said i didn't get it. i think he sent out 1 more hoodie and it finally made it to me.  good company run by a good guy. 

pro tip: don't act like a dick/immature when you talk to them.

but i had about 25 edge cracks, missing edge, and edge pullout all within 4 days of nice park use.
does that sound normal to you? or maybe that's a bit of a manufacturing issue?

i'm just tired of dealing with all of you guys.
the only answers i've ever gotten are exactly what i just got; mild, unhelpful and sarcastic.

i know i for one will never purchase another one of your products, and i've heard many others say the same thing based purely on my experience. if you guys want a terrible reputation here on newschoolers and in the freeskiing community as a whole, you're doing a grand job.

Thats weird because i demoed one lifes, then bought nine lives and they were fucking awesome. Super relaxed with rentals, super nice, and hooked me up on my purchase. I was really impressed with how chill and nice they were.

I really liked surfaces skis then i was looking into getting a pair and i noticed that the quality is complete shit. I really have to agree with big spence on this one. Even Salomon would have warrantied that.

i understand not warrantying skis from rail damage after a year or atleast a couple month's. but his skis being completely fucked up in 4 days of skiing is just retarded.  that is either the shittiest ski ever made, or just a bad pair. and either way surface should realize their mistake in selling someone a PARK ski that cant ski the fucking park at all. its pretty pathetic.
